Product Overview

The ST2 Test Kit is a fluorescence immunoassay designed for quantitative determination of soluble ST2 in human blood specimens. ST2 is a novel cardiac biomarker associated with myocardial stress, fibrosis and ventricular remodeling. Measurement of ST2 levels assists clinicians in evaluating prognosis and disease severity in patients with heart failure and acute coronary syndromes.

Intended Use

For in vitro quantitative determination of soluble ST2 in serum, plasma or whole blood samples to aid diagnosis and prognosis of heart failure and myocardial infarction.

Clinical Significance

Helps risk stratification of heart failure patients, evaluation of myocardial remodeling, prognosis assessment and monitoring therapeutic response.

Test Principle

Sandwich fluorescence immunoassay where labelled anti‑ST2 antibodies bind ST2 antigen forming complexes measured quantitatively by the analyzer.
