The Cortisol Test Kit is a fluorescence immunoassay designed for quantitative determination of cortisol levels in blood samples. Cortisol is a glucocorticoid hormone produced by the adrenal cortex and plays an important role in stress response, metabolism and immune regulation.

Intended Use

For in vitro quantitative detection of cortisol in serum or plasma as an aid in evaluation of adrenal cortical function.

Test Principle

Competitive fluorescence immunoassay where cortisol in the sample competes with labelled cortisol antigen for antibody binding sites and is measured quantitatively by analyzer.
