Description

The CysC Test Kit is a fluorescence immunoassay designed for quantitative determination of circulating cystatin C levels. Cystatin C is a sensitive biomarker used for evaluation of glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and early renal dysfunction.

Intended Use

For in vitro quantitative determination of cystatin C (CysC) in serum, plasma or whole blood as an aid in assessment of kidney function.

Clinical Significance

Supports early detection of renal impairment, chronic kidney disease monitoring and evaluation of glomerular filtration rate.

Test Principle

Fluorescence immunoassay where labelled monoclonal antibodies form immune complexes with cystatin C in the sample and fluorescence signal correlates with concentration.
