The Total T3 Test Kit is a competitive fluorescence immunoassay designed for quantitative determination of circulating T3 levels. T3 plays a key role in metabolic regulation, energy balance and endocrine function assessment.

Intended Use

For in vitro quantitative determination of T3 in serum, plasma or whole blood as an aid in diagnosis and monitoring of thyroid diseases.

Clinical Significance

Supports diagnosis of hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism, evaluation of thyroid hormone imbalance and endocrine therapy monitoring.

Test Principle

Competitive fluorescence immunoassay where T3 in the sample competes with fluorescence-labelled T3 antigen for monoclonal antibody binding sites. Signal intensity is inversely proportional to T3 concentration.
