Description
Product Overview
The D-Dimer Test Kit is designed for quantitative determination of D-Dimer in human whole blood, serum or plasma using fluorescence immunoassay technology. D-Dimer is a fibrin degradation product that is elevated in patients with active blood clot formation and breakdown.
Measurement of D-Dimer levels assists clinicians in diagnosing thrombotic conditions such as deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. This test is commonly used in hospital emergency departments, intensive care units and clinical laboratories.
Clinical Significance
D-Dimer is produced when cross-linked fibrin is degraded by plasmin during fibrinolysis. Elevated D-Dimer levels indicate activation of coagulation and fibrinolytic systems.
Measurement of D-Dimer is useful for:
• Detection of deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
• Diagnosis of pulmonary embolism (PE)
• Evaluation of disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC)
• Monitoring thrombotic disorders
• Assessment of coagulation abnormalities
Key Features
• Quantitative fluorescence immunoassay
• High sensitivity detection of D-Dimer
• Rapid results within minutes
• Compatible with immunofluorescence analyzers
• Suitable for hospital laboratories and emergency departments
Sample Type
Whole blood
Serum
Plasma
Test Time
Approximately 15 minutes
Compatible Analyzers
Compatible with fluorescence immunoassay analyzers including GETEIN 1100, GETEIN 1160 and FIA 8000 analyzers.
Principle of the Test
The D-Dimer Test Kit is based on fluorescence immunoassay technology. The sample reacts with fluorescence labeled antibodies specific to D-Dimer. The fluorescence signal generated is measured by the immunofluorescence analyzer and is proportional to the concentration of D-Dimer present in the sample.
Applications
This product can be effectively utilized in:
• Emergency departments
• Hospital laboratories
• Intensive care units
• Point-of-care testing centers
Intended Use
The D-Dimer Test Kit is intended for in vitro diagnostic use for quantitative determination of D-Dimer in human whole blood, serum or plasma using fluorescence immunoassay analyzers in clinical laboratories and hospital settings.
Related Tests
Related coagulation and cardiac marker tests include Troponin I Test Kit, NT-proBNP Test Kit and CRP Test Kit used in hospital emergency diagnostics.
