Description
Product Overview
The hs-CRP + CRP Test Kit is designed for quantitative determination of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) and C-reactive protein (CRP) in human whole blood, serum or plasma using fluorescence immunoassay technology.
C-reactive protein is an acute phase protein produced by the liver in response to inflammation. The hs-CRP measurement allows detection of very low levels of CRP associated with cardiovascular risk, while CRP measurement assists in identifying infection and inflammatory diseases.
Clinical Significance
CRP levels increase significantly in response to infection, tissue injury and inflammatory disorders.
Measurement of CRP and hs-CRP is useful for:
• Detection of acute inflammation and infection
• Monitoring inflammatory diseases
• Cardiovascular risk assessment using hs-CRP
• Evaluation of bacterial infections
• Monitoring treatment response
Key Features
• Dual marker detection (hs-CRP + CRP)
• Quantitative fluorescence immunoassay
• High sensitivity detection
• Rapid results within minutes
• Suitable for hospital laboratories and emergency departments
Sample Type
Whole blood
Serum
Plasma
Test Time
Approximately 15 minutes
Compatible Analyzers
Compatible with fluorescence immunoassay analyzers including GETEIN 1100, GETEIN 1160 and FIA 8000 analyzers.
Principle of the Test
The hs-CRP + CRP Test Kit is based on fluorescence immunoassay technology. The sample reacts with fluorescence labeled antibodies specific to C-reactive protein. The fluorescence signal generated is measured by the immunofluorescence analyzer and is proportional to the concentration of CRP present in the sample.
Applications
This product can be effectively utilized in:
• Hospital laboratories
• Infection diagnosis
• Cardiovascular risk assessment
• Emergency departments
• Point-of-care testing centers
Intended Use
The hs-CRP + CRP Test Kit is intended for in vitro diagnostic use for quantitative determination of C-reactive protein in human whole blood, serum or plasma using fluorescence immunoassay analyzers in clinical laboratories and hospital settings.
Related Tests
Related inflammation and cardiac marker tests include Procalcitonin Test Kit, IL-6 Test Kit and Troponin I Test Kit used in hospital diagnostic laboratories.
